Living Room
Our living room was designed from the rug up—literally. We built the space around my husband’s grandmother’s rug, which brings a soft, collected feel with its subtle pattern and warm tones. It set the tone for a room layered with earthy hues, cozy textures, and natural materials.A sculptural sofa and chairs anchor the layout, while details like a fluted wood console, vintage-style mirror, and soft drapery mix comfort, character, and a little family history.Curious about the pieces we used? Each section below breaks down the space with sources to explore and shop the look!

01
Take a Seat — Chairs, Sofa, and More
I don’t usually go for matching furniture sets, but this chair + sofa combo won me over. The sculptural lines and warm wood accents bring just the right amount of balance and comfort to the room. The pouf brings just enough texture to break up the matchy-matchy vibe — and it doubles as a footrest, side table, or bonus seat when we have company.
02
Center Of It All — Coffee Table Styling
This little setup is more than just decor, it tells a story. The stacked books were a gift from one of my best friends and feature places we visited on the Italy trip where we got engaged. They add the perfect pop of color to the room. Paired with simple accents, our coffee table styling feels personal and cozy. Our coffee table was purchased years ago and is sold out, but I’ve linked a similar version.

03
Mirror, Mirror — Console Table Styling
The Anthropologie Primrose Mirror brings the glam, while a chunky wood console keeps things grounded. We tucked ottomans underneath for that cozy-meets-functional finish.
04
Soft Curves — Our Arched Display Cabinet
We love how this arched cabinet adds softness and structure to the space. It gave us the high-end look we wanted without the high price tag.We chose the vintage walnut color.

05
Drop the Needle — Record Station
This little area is one of my favorite spots in the house (possibly because there’s always a Taylor Swift album spinning). From the record stand to the styling details, here’s everything we used to make this space feel both intentional and effortlessly cool. The cabinet was a HomeGoods find, but I’ve linked a similar one below that’s intended as a corner cabinet.

06
Instant Elevation - The Power of Curtains
These soft, neutral linen curtains helped bring the whole room together. And the best part? They’re budget-friendly and available on Amazon! We’ve loved them so much, we’re slowly adding them throughout the rest of the house.

07
Fake It Till Ya Make It — Olive Tree
I love using real plants when I can, but this corner just doesn’t get enough light. This budget-friendly, faux plum tree from Amazon was the perfect solution. And honestly, it’s one of the more realistic ones I’ve found. No sun, no stress, just a pop of greenery that finishes the space.
